Managing Organization and Staff

PrivacyExchange(PX) was founded by the Center for Social and Legal Research (CSLR), Hackensack, New Jersey, a US non-profit public policy think tank. The site is implemented and maintained by the PX staff working out of the CSLR offices.

CSLR was organized in 1987 as a private non-profit association of university scholars and social science researchers. Its purpose is to design, conduct and publish studies of major social and legal issues facing the U.S. and other advanced industrial democracies. Since its founding by Dr. Alan F. Westin, Professor Emeritus at Columbia University, the Center has evolved into a think tank focusing on privacy and data protection issues. Privacy & American Business, the Center's primary activity, is an award winning bi-monthly publication and information service.
