PrivacyExchange(PX)
is concerned about the privacy of its users and is committed to providing
a secure environment for the free flow of ideas.
Visitors
need not register or give any personal identification to use this site.
No software or hardware techniques are employed to capture a visitor's
e-mail address or other personally identifiable information. We do not
use "cookies" to track how you use our site.
Our
web host does give us access to some statistics related to site usage.
These statistic tell us the total number of hits, the total number of
page hits, and the number of kilobytes transferred from our site, which
simply indicates the size of the files visitors are accessing. These
figures are broken down by week, day, hour and daily average. To maintain
a high level of service, we also look at error data relating to site
visits. To get a better understanding of those who are interested in
PrivacyExchange, we also look at the top thirty referral pages, (the
URL from which PX was accessed) and the top thirty clients, which are
the servers used to access PX.
Our
host also provides us the capability to get a breakdown of browsers
used to access the site, and to track the top forty PrivacyExchange
files which visitors have accessed. We have never tracked this information,
and have no plans to do so. Our policy is to not examine raw log files,
and will do so only if we are hacked.
Where
visitors choose to provide PrivacyExchange with a name, e-mail address
or other information in order to receive the NewsFlash, PX keeps all
such response lists confidential.
Personally-identifiable
information will not be sold, rented or exchanged with any other organization
or entity unless the user is first notified and expressly agrees to
it.
If
you have any questions about these terms please contact us at admin@privacyexchange.org.
